The homes
The plans
Dales was built from 1959 to 1961 as single-story three- and four-bedroom houses. The 1,300- and 1,534-square-foot plans are the most common. Houses of about 1,850 to 2,100 square feet have usually been added onto.
The streets
The streets are named for trees in Spanish: Pimiento (pepper tree), Olivo (olive), Avellano (hazel), Alamo (poplar), Morera (mulberry), Limonero (lemon), Tilo (linden), Abeto (fir) and Pera (pear). Conejo Country Homes, with its flower-named streets, is just to the south.
