  • Beverly Hills City Hall

Beverly Hills housing rules. In September the state found that Beverly Hills' plan for housing near transit stations doesn't comply with SB 79, which matters for anyone watching what can be built near the new subway stations. Until the city has a plan the state accepts, the state's baseline SB 79 rules apply. State's letter (PDF) →

  • A tower proposed at La Brea. A 34-story apartment tower with 514 units, 128 of them affordable, is proposed at 1000 N. La Brea in West Hollywood. It has been before the Planning Commission this fall and would still need City Council approval. Planning agenda item →

  • Fountain Avenue in West Hollywood

The market: October numbers and live stats

Sales were a bit below last October, and the typical sale price was lower, which often reflects the mix of homes that sold in a given month as much as values themselves.

  • Homes on the market: 1,418 for sale or in escrow, with 13% of them in escrow.
  • Homes sold in October: 142, down 7% from 152 in October 2025.

October figures cover residential homes of all types (houses, condos and townhomes) in Beverly Hills and Hollywood, from the MLS feed that powers this site, including all MLSs in the data share, as of November 2, 2026. October sales are homes that closed between October 1 and 31 and were posted to the MLS by November 2; each comparison is with the same month a year earlier. Homes on the market is a count as of November 2. A few late-reported October sales may still be added.

Live stats. The cards below update on their own from the same MLS feed, so they may differ from the October numbers above. Each links to a full market report for that city.
