Liberty Canyon is about 225 detached houses built from 1965 to 1973 at the east end of Agoura Hills, south of the 101 and Agoura Road, on both sides of Liberty Canyon Road. Most homes are 1,400 to 2,500 square feet, three or four bedrooms, on lots of about 10,000 to 14,000 square feet.

Tracts and plans
Liberty Canyon was built in three tracts. About 46 homes on Jim Bowie Road and Patrick Henry Place came first, in 1965. The bulk of the neighborhood, on United Road, Patrick Henry Place, Provident Road and Joelton Drive, followed from 1970 to 1972. The last tract, about 39 homes on Defender Drive, Country Glen Road and Endeavor Street, was built in 1973.
Most homes are three- or four-bedroom plans of 1,400 to 2,500 square feet, a mix of single-story and two-story. The 1,850-square-foot two-story and the 1,677-square-foot single-story turn up most often in sales.
Lots
Lots are generous for the era, mostly 10,000 to 14,500 square feet in recent sales.

Schools
Liberty Canyon is in the Las Virgenes Unified School District. Listings at the east end of Agoura Hills show different elementary and middle school assignments, including Yerba Buena or Lupin Hill Elementary and Lindero Canyon or A.E. Wright Middle School. The high school is Agoura High. Confirm the assignment for a specific address with the district.
What to check
The houses are 50 to 60 years old. Check the sewer line, the electrical panel and permits for additions. Homes near the hillsides need brush clearance, so get an insurance quote early.

3 homes sold between June and December 2025, all on United Road: a 1,677-square-foot single-story for $1,330,000 and two 1,850-square-foot two-story homes for $1,120,000 and $1,194,000.
