Carlisle Road is not a tract but a rural road in the hills south of Lake Sherwood, in unincorporated Ventura County, where homes were built one at a time on parcels of two to eight acres. There are about 44 parcels, only nine with a house; most are open land. There is no association.

Rural parcels
Carlisle Road predates the planned neighborhoods around it. Its parcels were never subdivided into a tract, and most remain undeveloped, so neighbors are mostly open land. Buying here means dealing directly with Ventura County on zoning, permits, access, water and wastewater, and fire clearance.
What to check
Confirm legal access and any shared-road or easement agreements, water source and septic, and the fire hazard zone, and get an insurance quote before removing contingencies.
Schools
Carlisle Road is in the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Confirm the assignment for a specific address with the district.

Recent sales
With only nine houses, sales are rare and each is different. One sold through the MLS between October 2024 and September 2026: a 1973 home of 2,793 square feet with a pool on about 4.4 acres on East Carlisle Road, for $2,700,000 in December 2025.
How it compares
Sherwood Country Club, to the north, is guard-gated with golf and much larger homes. Westlake Country Estates, to the east, is a gated road of estate homes. Carlisle Road is for buyers who want acreage and privacy without an association.
